I want to share this story and a few profound learnings from it. This is my favorite story on how to lead life. It inspires me each time I read it.
Once upon a time, there was a man who wanted to find happiness and success in his life. He prayed day and night, hoping that God would guide him towards enlightenment. After months of waiting, he finally had a dream that he was wandering in a forest, searching for answers.
The next morning, he decided to follow his dream and went to the woods. As he was walking, he stumbled upon a strange sight – a fox with no legs lying between two rocks in a shady spot. The man was puzzled and wondered how the fox managed to survive without being able to hunt for food.
He decided to hide behind a tree and watch the fox. As the sun began to set, a mighty lion appeared with a fresh kill in its jaws. The lion placed the meat before the fox and then walked away.
The man was amazed by what he had just witnessed. He realized that he had been praying for the wrong thing all along. He thought to himself, "Wow, I don't need to worry about anything in life. I just need to trust in God, and everything will be taken care of."
Feeling confident and enlightened, the man decided to follow the fox's example and surrender himself to God's will. He stopped working, stopped planning, and stopped worrying about his future.
Two weeks later, he found himself weakened and starving, with no food or money to survive. It was then that he had another dream. In the dream, a voice told him, "Fool! Be like the lion, not like the fox."
My favorite lessons from this story:
Take Action: While faith is important, it's not enough to simply pray and wait for good things to happen. We need to take action toward our goals and dreams. Like the lion in the story, we should be proactive in our approach to life and take charge of our circumstances.
Balance Surrender and Self-Reliance: Surrendering to a higher power is important, but it's also important to take responsibility for our lives. Like the man in the story, we should strive to find a balance between surrendering to a higher power and taking action toward our goals.
Learn from the Right Sources: Choose your sources of inspiration carefully, as they can have a significant impact on your life. The man in the story learned a misguided lesson from observing the disabled fox but discovered the true lesson from the lion's behavior.

I’m sure you have gotten a handful of recommendations to read — The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel at this point. If not, I’ll nudge you here.
It’s a great book on learning and building the right money mindset. I’ve watched this video several times to refresh my learning from this book.
