🎓 Learn
Learning and memory are essential skills that can improve our personal and professional lives.
However, many people struggle with retaining information and recalling it when they need it.
In this post, I will introduce you to a powerful framework called M.A.M that can help you learn and remember anything faster.
M.A.M Framework: M.A.M stands for Motivation, Attention, and Methods, and it's a modified version of the M.O.M framework by Jim Kwik.
Here's how it works:
Motivation
“Many people know what to do but don't DO what they know.”
Because they are missing motivation.
Let's say you go to an event, and the event host tells you they will give you $10,000 to remember the first 3 persons' names. The odds of you remembering the names will increase.
That's motivation!
If you want to learn or remember anything better, bring motivation/intention into it.
Examples:
I want to learn yoga because I want my friends and employees to be healthy.
I want to learn this course well because I want to teach this to my team.
I want to read this book because it has a solution from which my business can benefit.
Remember, “Reason Reap Results”
Attention
“The art of memory is the art of attention.”
Once you set a purpose for learning, the next thing is attention.
An incredible memory and a powerful presence come from being powerfully present.
This is so simple hence often neglected. The one key lesson I learned from my yoga and meditation teacher training program is to be fully present.
Being fully immersed in your learning by being present is critical to remembering anything.
Methods
Find the right tools, methods, and framework to learn and remember it faster.
Example:
Food recipe
Acronyms (like M.A.M)
Mental Models (like Spotlight Effect)
Stories
The right method will help you:
To retain your learning
Remember things easily
Make learning exciting and fun
I love methods/frameworks, so I have been sharing new methods and tools for learning in Learn + Grow newsletter.
Key takeaway: By using the M.A.M framework, you can improve your learning and memory skills in a systematic way. Start by setting a purpose or intention for what you want to learn, then focus your attention on the task at hand, and finally, experiment with different methods and tools to help you remember.

My favorite podcast-listening app is Pocket Casts. I tried other apps like Apple Podcast, Spotify, Audible, etc. But since I started using Pocket Casts, that has become my go-to app for Podcast listening. It’s free, has tons of personalization options, and helps you save a lot of time.
I wrote a how-to guide + my best pro tips for using the Pocket Casts app.
